He currently works with local cyclists and triathletes and has been part of the medical team for the Ironman World Championships. In addition, Kelly holds certification in the performance of PCE/FCE’s, Worksite Evaluation/Ergonomics and Quantitative Job Analysis, and has worked as part of a pain clinic rehabilitation team, providing functional assessments for chronic pain clients. He has also worked closely with local vocational counselors and other medical professionals facilitating a safe and expedient return to work.

Kelly's background in education and coaching has shaped his approach to physical therapy. He feels that there is a close connection between our physical and mental well-being. Kelly believes that when people understand what they can do to improve their physical well-being, the healing process and how they feel about themselves will improve as well. Empowering clients with the knowledge and tools to help manage their own rehabilitation process facilitates more successful outcomes and a healthier life style.

Bainbridge Island Physical Therapy focuses on treating the source of the patient’s problem. Patient education and involvement are hallmarks of our treatment philosophy. We strive to help to make the rehabilitation process a pleasure by offering a comfortable and relaxed setting with open channels of communication with your physician.

Kelly is actively involved with local triathlon and cycling communities. He has participated as both a coach and a racer in Olympic and Half Ironman triathlons. Kelly is joined in these and other outdoor pursuits by his wife and four children.
